Bible Studies
Various Bible studies are held throughout the week at church and at people’s homes. Visitors are always welcome. Contact the church at (562) 427-1653 for more information.

Salt and Light |
Sunday Evenings, 7:30 PM | At Church | Middle Schoolers | Middle schoolers sing and participate in a fun-filled interactive Bible Study. Led by Shannon Vincent. Dinner is provided. |
Abide and Edify |
Sunday Evenings, 7:30 PM | At Church | High School / College | High School and College aged youth sing and participate in an interactive Bible Study. Games often follow the Bible Study. This time is led by our Youth Director, Mike Dempsey. Dinner is provided. |
Bible Bistro |
Wendesday Evenings, 6:30 PM | Dempsey’s Home in Garden Grove | College / Career | A large group of college/career age folks get together for fellowship, support and to learn about God’s plan for us. The evening begins with dinner and is followed by a time of singing and a Bible Study. |
Women’s Study |
Friday Evenings, 7:00 PM | Diana Post’s Home in Long Beach | Ladies, High School to Retired | We are using the book “Woman Meets Jesus: How Jesus Encourages, Empowers, and Equips Women on Their Personal Journey of Faith”. This book was written by Ruth Vander Zee. We read one chapter at home and then, during the Bible Study we use the section “process and dig deeper” to guide our discussion. The scheduled meeting evenings are May 3 (Chapter 4); May 17, May 24 and June 7. One meeting was canceled so there will be a final meeting during June. Note: even if you haven’t read the chapter before hand, you are welcome to come. |
Men’s Study |
Thursday Evenings, 7:30 PM | McGuire’s Home in Long Beach | Men, College to Retired | We are currently studying 1 Peter, and generally cover as much of a passage as time permits. We usually finish by 9:00 pm. |
